We spent several months dialing in the blend and roast profile of our Northern Italian Espresso Roast. This would be our darkest roast and most full-bodied coffee.
First, we blend a ratio of our Brazilian, Colombian and Guatemalan coffees. We then roast these beans to the exact point in which they release a light sheen of oil. Because we do not over-roast the coffee, it still holds a great amount of fruity character, along with it's rich roasty chocolate backbone.

A magnificent highly graded micro-lot coffee from the El Rosario family farm in El Salvador. Now under third generation ownership, Finca Buenos Aries is flourishing along the high elevation slopes of the Santa Ana Volcano, the tallest of El Salvador’s 23 active volcanos.
El Salvador is the first nation in the World to make Bitcoin a legal tender currency. To help validate El Salvador’s monetary shift, we will be converting $4 from every El Salvadorian bag sold directly into Bitcoin, and then depositing these “sats” into a long-term Bitcoin savings account for the Bros.

Narino

Light Medium Roast / City Roast

This particular Colombian regional select coffee really stood out to us. It is grown at high altitudes, 5,250-7,500 feet above sea level (FASL) in the Nariño region of Southwestern Colombia. We then roast this coffee to a Light Medium / City Roast level. This roast profile accents the natural bright fruity flavors of the specialty coffee bean. A lighter profile roast coffee naturally has more caffeine than a darker roast.
We taste: sugar cane, red apple, chocolate and citrus.

Tarrazu

The 2020 crop of this Costa Rica Tarrazu coffee is remarkable. Tarrazu is the highest altitude coffee region in Costa Rica. It is world revered for it's spectacular hard bean Arabica coffee. This lot was naturally processed in the state-of-the-art San Diego Mill. This fermentation and process imparts exceptionally bright complexity, fruity and earthy characteristics. It results in a medium-full bodied cup with toffee sweetness and a dark berry accompaniment.

Guatemala's Atitlan region is famed for the gorgeous deep water Lake Atitlan that rests in the caldera of an ancient collapsed volcano, This coffee is harvested in the highlands along the fertile slopes of the three remaining volcanos that surround the lake. This coffee is hand picked and sorted and shines with tremendous quality, A fantastic daily drinker and part of our Espresso Blend.

TANZANIA
Segion, Mbozi District

This famous African coffee is exceptionally smooth with mild earthiness, dark fruit, baking spice and chocolate characteristics. Tanzania's high altitudes, rich volcanic soil and consistent ocean mist aid in growing this remarkably clean, round and complex peaberry coffee.
Peaberry beans are simply coffee beans that don't split in two during their growth and maturation process. This results in a dense oval or round bean, rather than two beans that are flat on one side. Peaberry coffee is somewhat rare, only 10% of coffee cherries develop with this character. The coffee cherries are hand picked and once milled, the peaberries are hand sorted from the lot.

Brazilian coffees can be beautiful single origin cups of coffee, but they often also make a fabulous base to any coffee blend. This Brazilian turns out to be one of the best single origin pour over cups and espresso's we've had in many months.
This bean is naturally processed, meaning the coffee beans are dried using heat from the sun while still within the coffee fruit. A lot like drying a grape into a raisin. Once dried, the shriveled fruit, with beans still inside, are then rested in wooden boxes for 30+ days before being de-hulled sorted and then graded.
Expect this bean to be a staple coffee offering for the next several months.
